Roshni Nadar Malhotra, India’s richest woman is New Chairperson of HCL Technologies

India’s richest woman, Roshni Nadar Malhotra is the new chairperson of Noida-based IT company HCL Technologies, according to a statement released by the IT giant and said on Friday.

The 38-year-old is succeeded by his father, Shiva Nadar. The appointment for the new role of non-executive director Roshni Malhotra becomes effective immediately, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Shiv Nadar will continue to be the Managing Director of HCL Tech with the designation as Chief Strategy Officer.

Born and raised in New Delhi, Roshni attended Vasant Valley School, and graduated from Northwestern University in Illinois, USA.

He has a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Roshni Nadar has been the Executive Director and CEO of HCL Corporation, Vice Chairman of HCL Technologies Board and Trustee of Shiv Nadar Foundation.

At HCL Corporation, Roshni Nadar Malhotra has been responsible for providing strategic guidance to the organization.

Roshni Nadar Malhotra was in 2013 as an additional director on the board of India’s third largest software exporter.

This happened four years after his appointment to the board of HCL Corp., the holding company of HCL Technologies and HCL Infosystems.
