After that, we conduct on-site verifications to ensure quality and gain a deeper understanding of the experiences, so we can accurately convey this to our customers.

With a team passionate about genuinely exploring destinations and input from our existing customers, we thoroughly enjoy the process of researching a market.

How does OneBoard differentiate itself from other travel and discovery platforms?

Ryan Prazeres: Our decision-making process is centered around our customers. We take the time to thoroughly understand and vet experiences before onboarding them.

This meticulous approach allows us to confidently guarantee that if an experience doesn’t meet the expectations we set, we will refund the customer’s payment.

How has the tourism landscape in Goa changed since the launch of OneBoard, and how has your app adapted to these changes?

Ryan Prazeres: As Goans who are passionate about adventure activities, we found it frustrating to navigate the often confusing and overpriced booking process. Goa’s tourism landscape has been rapidly evolving, with an increase in touts, scams, and fake operators. These issues not only damage the state’s reputation but also put visitors at risk.

OneBoard ensures a hassle-free experience for customers, and we constantly adapt our offerings based on their feedback.

What role does technology play in the development of OneBoard, and are there any upcoming features or innovations you’re particularly excited about?

Ryan Prazeres: Technology is crucial to our growth and is spearheaded by our co-founder and CTO, Shreyansh Doshi, who has extensive experience in backend development. Our goal is to make the customer journey easy, fun, and seamless, and we continually strive toward this goal.

We’ve also developed a platform for our providers. Through OneBoard’s B2B toolset, partners can effortlessly add their experiences, send bookings to customers with automated reminders, manage their accounts, and collaborate with other providers.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs looking to enter the travel and discovery space?

Ryan Prazeres: Experiential travel is projected to be a $267 trillion market by 2027, making it the fastest-growing segment in the travel industry. With ample opportunities available, it’s important to identify the customer demographic you want to serve and then build products or services tailored to their needs.

Are there any upcoming partnerships or initiatives that you’re excited about and can share with us?

Ryan Prazeres: We have two major potential events planned for the end of 2024 in collaboration with the government and local authorities, but we can’t disclose details until they are confirmed.
