An Exclusive Interview with Samad Shoeb, Co-Founder & CEO of Oratrics

In an exclusive interview, we speak with Samad Shoeb, the dynamic Co-Founder and CEO of Oratrics. He shared fascinating insights into his entrepreneurial journey and the innovative vision driving Oratrics’ impact in the technology sector.

You started Oratrics from a small room in Varanasi. What inner drive helped you scale it to 15+ countries without funding or connections?

Samad Shoeb: Starting in a modest room in Varanasi, I had no external funding, no institutional backing, only the determination to fill the gap I’d lived through: lack of voice, confidence, and self-expression.

My journey, from persistent shyness to discovering my own expressive power, became the core fuel for Oratrics. I wasn’t building a platform; I was building what I once needed. Every student who found their voice reinforced that purpose.

This clarity, helping others claim what I lacked, built resilience, drew trust, and inspired transformations that rippled through word of mouth, eventually carrying us across 15+ countries purely on merit and hope.

What was the most defining “against-the-odds” moment in Oratrics’ journey, and how did it change your approach as a founder?

Samad Shoeb: The defining moment came when we surpassed last year’s full-year revenue in Q1, with minimal marketing spend as compared to others. Competing with well-funded edtech giants, we chose to invest in product strength, coach quality, and learner outcomes instead of hype.

When global inquiries started coming in from parents, students, and organizations, even though we were a Tier-2 Indian platform, it validated our belief-over-backing philosophy.

That moment reframed our strategy: to favor trust and impact over scale at any cost. It reaffirmed that when value leads, growth follows, and it has led Oratrics to earn respect and reach far beyond expectations.

You often talk about creating ‘future humans.’ In your vision, what will a truly future-ready child look like by 2030?

Samad Shoeb: By 2030, the most future-ready children won’t just be tech-literate; they’ll be human-wise. They’ll speak confidently in global forums, write with impact, and lead with emotional intelligence.

A “future human” is someone who can think, speak boldly, and solve creatively, regardless of their domain.

They’ll know how to ask the right questions in a world flooded with answers. These children won’t just code AI; they’ll communicate with it, lead with empathy, and shape narratives that move people.

Our mission is to ensure they’re not just prepared for exams, but for boardrooms, changemaking, and meaningful connections in an increasingly automated world.

How does Oratrics support shy or introverted students differently than traditional public speaking platforms?

Samad Shoeb: At Oratrics, we believe that public speaking should never feel like a performance; it should feel like self-expression. For shy or introverted learners, our environment is designed to be psychologically safe and pressure-free.

OraGenie, our AI mentor, acts like a supportive elder sibling, encouraging without judging. Through daily streaks, XP points, and storytelling prompts, students grow at their own pace.

Our philosophy is confidence-first, not perfection-first. Instead of pushing children into the spotlight, we build their readiness behind the scenes so when the spotlight arrives, they step in with joy, not fear.

Can you share a student story that deeply moved you or reminded you why you started this journey in the first place?

Samad Shoeb: One story I hold close is of a 9-year-old girl in Dubai who joined Oratrics utterly silent beyond one-word replies. Within weeks, she was confidently composing speeches, entering storytelling contests, and sharing her perspective during live classes.

Her mother messaged us: “OraGenie has become her coach and cheerleader, my daughter now speaks with clarity and even writes speeches by herself.” That transformation wasn’t just about public speaking.

It was about awakening belief in a child who once thought she didn’t matter. It reminded me of my younger self and reaffirmed why Oratrics exists: to turn silence into voice and fear into courage.

What are some key elements of the curriculum you’ve developed at Oratrics, and how do they cater to different age groups?

Samad Shoeb: Our curriculum is built around the core philosophy of age-appropriate expression. For ages 4–10, it’s all about storytelling, show-and-tell, creative games, and picture-based prompts that develop speech rhythm and confidence.

Teens (11–17) engage in debate duels, interview simulations, structured writing, and AI-assisted speech practice. For adults and professionals, we offer resume building, business presentation design, and articulation coaching.

Even in our Math Genius program, we fuse logic with creativity, making math a language of ideas, not just numbers. Each program is built to inspire confidence, clarity, and communication, no matter the age or domain.

How is Oratrics integrating AI into its coaching methods, and what benefits do you see this bringing to learners?

Samad Shoeb: At Oratrics, AI acts not as a replacement but as a powerful companion to human mentorship. Our proprietary mentor, OraGenie, gives real-time feedback on aspects like tone, pacing, clarity, emotion, and structure during speech or writing exercises.

Students can practise presentations, storytelling, or mock interviews 24/7. What sets this apart is the human layer: we have assembled the best soft‑skills trainers from across the globe, seasoned professionals recognized in their fields.

These coaches interpret OraGenie’s insights, add emotional context, tailor strategies to each learner’s personality, and nurture confidence.

This hybrid model creates exponential benefits:

  • Scalability and precision from AI analytics,
  • Empathy and depth from world-class human trainers,
  • A 24/7 learning experience that builds consistency, emotional fluency, and real-world readiness.

Together, AI and global mentorship deliver a transformative, future‑ready learning experience that’s both measurable and deeply human.

Can you explain what you mean by “human-centric coaching” and how it differs from traditional educational approaches?

Samad Shoeb: Traditional education often treats students as empty vessels to be filled with content. Human-centric coaching flips that.

At Oratrics, we start with the learner understanding their fears, strengths, communication style, and emotional bandwidth. We don’t just teach; we guide, reflect, and grow with them. The thing with our mentors is that they are not instructors; they are co-navigators.

We use technology not to replace the human touch, but to amplify it. We prioritize connection over correction and growth over grading.

Human-centric coaching means helping learners see themselves, not just the syllabus, as the subject of transformation.

Samad’s candid discussion offered a compelling look into the challenges and triumphs of building Oratrics. His dedication to pioneering solutions truly left us inspired by the future of his company.
