Can you share the inspiration behind founding Relata and how it aligns with the evolving needs of the real estate industry?

Samudragupta Talukdar: Realty being the world’s largest industry, it accounts for nearly 7% of the global GDP which is around $105tn mark. however the realty sales across the globe was highly traditional and is translucent in nature. 

Realty is the most expensive investment anyone does in their life and with growth of convenience across the globe the new generation buyers are more demanding. More importantly, the Realty sector is facing the challenge of being highly manual in nature and the technology use is highly neglected.

With covid around, the whole world came to a standstill for the real estate as there were no Business Continuity Plan and selling real estate became very cumbersome. Our journey at Relata started a year prior to the Covid-19 and we envisaged to transform the industry with our cutting edge technology a year prior to accelerate sales.

With HDFC Capital backing Relata, how has the partnership influenced the strategic direction and growth of the company in the proptech space?

Samudragupta Talukdar: Relata is privileged to have HDFC on its cap-table. HDFC team not only invested but is working closely with us as a strategic partner while introducing us to their portfolio companies.

Apart from this they have been also sharing various problem statements which I believe are solved by us.

Our booking engine streamlines transactions digitally, and our lead management system ensures efficient tracking from sourcing to sales, all contributing to enhanced trust in the process.

In a competitive proptech landscape, how does Relata differentiate itself from other players, and what is your unique value proposition to clients and partners?

Samudragupta Talukdar: Our proptech company offers a range of unique tools that set us apart in the industry. All of these innovative features are available under one roof, ensuring easy business continuity for developers. Once the lead is generated, from visualization to post-sales, we take care of everything, and in the PropTech world, no other business provides such comprehensive services.

Collaboration is key in the proptech industry. How does Relata engage with industry stakeholders, including real estate developers, investors, and technology partners, to foster innovation and growth?

We have strategic partnerships with leading developers. Additionally, we actively participate in real estate conferences and expos. Furthermore, we host Miraix, a conference for both the real estate and PropTech players to educate and foster relationships.

Considering the global nature of the real estate market, how does Relata plan to expand its footprint, and are there any specific regions or markets that you see as particularly promising for proptech growth?

Samudragupta Talukdar: In the past, technology has generally travelled from west to east. At Relata, we’re working in a way that the PropTech revolution will reverse this trend, moving from the east to western countries, with us leading the charge. Unlike previous challenges with user adaptability in western Proptech solutions due to their complexity, Relata innovates products that are more user-friendly and easier to adopt.
