Please tell us a little about your entrepreneurial journey
Sandhya Vivek Mohanan: I didn’t start this merely as a business, my vision is to change the way we care for our children’s skin.
Adolescence as we all know comes with its unique challenges and we want to be the go-to brand for moms and kids alike for everything related to their youth’s skin.
I struggled to find toxin-free, safe, and natural wellness products for my daughters whom I wanted to teach them how to care for their skin from an early age #Teachthemyoung is our mantra and, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey to start Evaana Wellness.
The aim was to be instrumental in assisting parents like me who want to teach their children simple yet effective and safe skincare routines from a young age.
And finally, after years of formulating, research, and testing, today, Evaana Wellness’s products have been a huge hit among mothers, preteens and teens.
All the science-based natural beauty and wellness products are free from harmful and toxic ingredients and are out for everyone to see.

Our science-based natural beauty and wellness products make them reach a place of self-love, confidence, and acceptance. Since the brand’s inception, I have been personally involved in every step of product development.
Whether it’s testing each product or developing a design for the first-of-its-kind child-friendly, Lip Gloss and Lip Balm, I have monitored every aspect to create world-class products and help alleviate the stress of parents seeking safe products for their children.
What’s your company’s goal?
Sandhya Vivek Mohanan: Evaana wellness believes in making science-based, safe, and nontoxic natural beauty and wellness products for Gen Z and Alfa generation. The aim is to create a
Wellness- and holistic-based approach to beauty by teaching preteens and teens how to take care of themselves and their hygiene.
What have been some of your failures and what have you learned from them
Sandhya Vivek Mohanan: Failure the steppingstone to success. At the onset, I got a lot of resistance for my idea to start a beauty and wellness brand, since this is a very niche audience there would need to be a paradigm shift in the thought process and understanding of the consumers and their guardians and considering that this would be a colossal task, I did have a lot of naysayers, though that’s as one says “is history”, I did not let the fire die inside me and fought for my ideas and dreams.
We are now live and accessible to anyone and everyone that wants us to partner in the growth & development of their kids.
What was the inspiration behind turning an entrepreneur key thing to consider before starting a start-up
Sandhya Vivek Mohanan: My father has been my rock, my inspiration behind starting my beauty and wellness brand.
Being from an entrepreneurial family, I have always looked up to my father in more ways than one, he’s extremely hardworking, self-motivated and truly an inspiration to all around.
There are multiple things to consider before starting a start-up. The most crucial would be to find something that your passionate for, follow that up with some detailed research and market understanding.
If possible, do a marketing testing and include the share of voice of your customer in the study and back that up with a watertight financial plan and stick to it. And lastly, there’s no shortcut to success so get to the start line, keep trying and don’t give up.
What are some of the biggest mistakes you have made
Sandhya Vivek Mohanan: My biggest mistake would be underestimating myself and my potential. But from the ideation stage to the launch of Evaana Wellness, I think it was the best time to understand myself and my capabilities which gave me the strength and hope to build a brand as amazing as this.
Your success tips for young and aspiring entrepreneurs
Sandhya Vivek Mohanan: The only advice would be to Never stop and have conviction and belief in yourself. You have the power to create your own destiny.
Work hard, take help from others if you need but, but never give up! Remember that opportunity never knocks, it presents itself when you beat down the door.
