Shruti Haasan was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to film actor Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. Shruti began learning dance from the age of 3 years under Pand. Vinod, a student of Pandit Birju Maharaj.
She is also a trained Kuchipudi dancer and has been learning it since the age of 4 years from Grand Master Raja Reddy, former principal of the National School of Drama.
Shruti Haasan made her acting debut as a child artist in her father’s 1998 film Hey Ram. She then starred as the female lead alongside her father in his production Aalavandhan (2001).
The film was initially slated for release on Diwali 2001, but eventually released three years later, due to delays and creative differences.
Shruti Haasan is a south Indian actress who appears in Tamil and Hindi films. She is the daughter of Kamal Haasan, a veteran actor and filmmaker in south India.
Shruti made her acting debut as a child artist in her father’s film Hey Ram (2000) and has since worked in other regional films.
