Can you start by sharing your journey in the matrimonial industry? What inspired you to found Absolute Matrimony, and how did you get started?

Saurabh Goswami: I have done my Engineering in IT and MBA from one of the most premier B-schools of India. I did a stint with corporate after studies; that was when my parents started talking to me about settling down.

Due to the hectic office schedules, I had zero social life. I then decided to seek out matrimonials to find my life partner. My personal experience of online matrimonials was a nightmare. I found so many fake profiles.

A few asked for my bank details within the first few chats! I then registered with a few offline matrimonies, but that also came with its own hassles. The endless browsing through bulky files, only to later find that they were already married!

That was when I decided to do something to bridge this gap. Ultra Rich Weddings was registered in 2011. Initially we started with the niche sector of the upper class.

That was completely offline and personalized. Once we had established our name in the matrimonial sector, and learnt the nuances of this vast industry, we decided to venture into the online sector.

Thus, Absolute Matrimony was conceptualized. Absolute Matrimony is an online matrimony for the Indian Professionals across India and abroad. Our motto is “No Fake Profiles”.

Catering to this special journey of finding a person’s life partner is a very responsible work, and should be taken accordingly. There are more than 10000 registered matrimonies in India, but only a few have been able to make it successful.

My advice is that take any business very seriously and put your heart and soul into making it authentic and fraud-free.
