About LIC IPO

The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) IPO is set to launch on May 4, 2022 and will be available for subscription until May 9, 2022.

Also, the IPO anchor will be open to investors on May 2, 2022. Despite the reduced size, LIC IPO is still the largest IPO in the history of IPOs in the country.

The size of LIC IPO is Rs. 21,000 crore.  Under the issue, there is a total of 22.10 crore equity shares will be offered. The LIC IPO price band is Rs. 902 to Rs. Set at 949 per equity share.

The government has reserved 10% for LIC policyholders under the policyholder category. However, for LIC IPO policyholders to apply, they have to link their PAN with their LIC policy and also have a valid demat account to subscribe to the IPO.

SBI YONO APP Last month, on Saturday, April 30, 2022, SBI tweeted, “Start your investment journey today!” It added, “Now open your demat and trading account on YONO and without any account opening charges and DP AMC has been completely waived for the first year. Download YONO now!”

The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced that its customers can also invest in the Life Insurance Corporation of India’s (LIC) initial public offering (IPO) through the SBI YONO app.

The LIC IPO is scheduled to open on 4 May 2022 and will close on 9 May 2022. SBI has said that the customers can apply for the IPO through the SBI YONO app by following these steps:

>> First of all, the customer has to log in to the SBI Yono application and go to the ‘Investments’ section.

>> Next, the customer has to select ‘LIC IPO’ from within this section.

>> After that, the customer needs to enter some basic details such as name, contact number and email address in order to complete the application process.

>> Finally, the customer has to submit the filled-in form and make the payment through the SBI Yono app.

SBI has also said that customers can check the status of their LIC IPO application by logging in to the ‘My Investments’ section of the SBI Yono app. It is worth noting that the LIC IPO is being sold in a price range of Rs 902 to Rs 949 per equity share.
