Secunderabad-Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express Train Launch: Important Things To Know Before Flag Off By PM Modi
January 11, 2023: The Secunderabad to Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express is likely to be flagged off by PM Narendra Modi during his visit to Telangana during January 19-January 20.
PM Modi is also likely to inaugurate the Secunderabad Railway Station Renovation Project during his visit.
Reports said that the dates for Modi’s visit to the southern state are yet to be finalised.
The Secunderabad to Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express will be the eighth semi-high-speed modern train to be launched by Indian Railways. Currently, Vande Bharat Express trains run on the following routes: New Delhi-Varanasi; New Delhi-Vaishno Devi Katra; New Delhi-Chandigarh-Una, Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar; Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysore.
The latest Vande Bharat Express will connect Telangana’s Secunderabad railway station to Andhra Pradesh’s Vijayawada.
Earlier news agency IANS had reported that the Secunderabad to Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express would be launched in early New Year 2023. A new generation train with modern facilities will run from Secunderabad to Vijayawada via Kazipet.
The launch date of Secunderabad to Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express is yet to be officially announced by government sources. This will be the second Vande Bharat Express train to be launched in South India after the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysore route.
The 7th Vande Bharat train was launched in West Bengal on December 30 on the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri (NJP) route by PM Modi. It is the first train of its kind to be operated in the eastern state of West Bengal and the second premium train service. The Shatabdi Express will then run on the 560-km-Howrah NJP route.
Features of Vande Bharat Express Train
Vande Bharat Express trains have reclining seats in all classes while executive coaches have the additional facility of 180-degree swivel seats.
Apart from this, the express has other attractive features including automatic doors, GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, onboard Wi-Fi hotspot for entertainment purposes, comfortable seating.
