At the beginning of our careers, my colleague, Mr. Rakesh Shahi and I encountered a significant challenge: the lack of readily available chemical information. It slowed down many functions as time consuming searches were required to find these queries.

This issue motivated us to think of any solution. To work on this idea, we embarked on a journey that can bridge the knowledge gap.

In 2013, filled with entrepreneurial spirit we started working on a novel idea which was aimed at resolving the knowledge gaps for chemicals in lifesciences industries. We launched Lifescience Intellipedia, a platform offering comprehensive information on every space from lifesciences industries encompassing purchase, sales & marketing, regulatory, production, R & D data.

The Chemxpert database, a one-stop solution from Lifescience Intellipedia, is an online web portal that fulfills your unmet needs from all lifesciences industries. Shabbir Ahmed: Being a comprehensive database on lifesciences sector, data security and privacy are of high importance for Chemxpert. Here is how Chemxpert protects user information:

• Exclusive Proprietary: The Chemxpert database is the exclusive proprietary of Lifesciences Intellipedia Pvt. Ltd., which has a right to grant use licenses to use the database on non-exclusive basis.

• Confidentiality: The database is guarded, and users are advised do the same. Only for the purposes of their own business, and not in order to make a commercial profit, users are allowed to benefit from Chemxpert database.

• Policies: In order to protect the rights of our users, provide a complete explanation and ensure total transparency, we have carefully drafted a detailed cookie policies, privacy policy as well as terms of use, and other policies. We enter into agreements with our users, clearly setting out all terms and conditions relating to our data policies.

• Access Control: You can access the database only by having subscription, login IDs, and passwords.

• What are some of the biggest challenges you have faced in scaling Chemxpert database, and how have you overcome them?

Challenges- Due to the novelty of our product, its features were not known. We faced many challenges in every step to grow our initiative which included: –

• Collection of funds, resources and sponsors: – Effectively managing funds, hiring good resources, and finding sponsors required careful consideration and a thorough evaluation process to identify the perfect match in terms of similar mission, vision, and a strong reciprocal relationship.

• Market penetration and global expansion: – The idea of penetrating the world market and expanding our business posed significant challenges as we navigated the complexities of international markets and faced different cultural and regulatory landscapes.
• Data management & safeguarding: – Curation of premium data required more human resource and longer time duration. Managing and safeguarding our data was a significant challenge as we navigated constantly evolving technologies and serious security threats.

Data solutions- We took strong steps to revolutionize our approach. To maintain standardization and avoid a lack of transparency we curated the data with our team of highly skilled subject matter experts. By using cutting-edge technology, we utilized the power of data through innovative solutions, particularly the Chemxpert database.
