Shivam Bhagat: Bhagat Halwai’s journey is not merely a tale of today—it’s the legacy of over 200 years. Sweets run in our veins, a tradition cherished and passed down through generations.

While we remain rooted in this rich heritage, we embrace innovation to meet the evolving tastes of our customers.From sugar-free sweets and jaggery-based mithai to lactose-intolerant-friendly options and baked delicacies, our offerings cater to modern preferences without compromising on authenticity.

We are also expanding our repertoire with an array of uniquely crafted cakes and enhancing the experience with fine dining.

At Bhagat Halwai, it’s about beautifully blending tradition with contemporary flavors, all while staying true to our legacy.

What have been some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as the owner of Bhagat Halwai, and how did you overcome them?

Shivam Bhagat: In the dynamic world of product-based retail, every day brings new challenges. From sourcing the finest ingredients and finding skilled artisans to ensuring precise recipe execution and managing daily operations, it’s a demanding journey.

Yet, my background and experience enable me to navigate these challenges with confidence, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.

Indian sweets often hold cultural significance. How do you ensure that Bhagat Halwai’s offerings resonate with traditional values while also appealing to modern tastes?

Shivam Bhagat: “Absolutely! Mithai is more than just a sweet—it’s an emotion for our customers. At Bhagat Halwai, we honor this sentiment by crafting every delicacy with pure ghee.

For select sweets, we use cow ghee, meticulously choosing brands that meet our uncompromising quality standards.

This commitment to authenticity ensures that every bite is rich in tradition and flavor.Milk is another key ingredient, and we have strict processes in place to ensure that only pure, unadulterated milk reaches us.

Our barfi segment is made exclusively with Amul khoya, reinforcing our commitment to purity and authenticity. Finally, the binding and finishing play a crucial role in the overall quality of our sweets, and we ensure precision in every step to deliver the finest mithai to our customers.

Where do you see Bhagat Halwai in the next five to ten years? What are your long-term goals for the business?

Shivam Bhagat: I don’t define my goals in the traditional long-term sense, but my vision for Bhagat Halwai is crystal clear—I am committed to serving only what I would confidently feed my own family.

While we have ambitious growth plans for the next five years, including expanding across North India, my priority remains unwavering: maintaining the quality and authenticity of our products.

For me, growth isn’t just about numbers; it’s about ensuring every step is executed with confidence and precision, staying true to our legacy.
