Siddharth Jayakumar: An experienced banker and accomplished author

Siddharth Jayashankar was six days old when his parents came to know about his disability. But his parents always motivate him from the beginning and support him.

Inspite of his disability and much other life problem Siddharth never get demoralized and has a sprit to do something in life.

When Siddharth was six days old, he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. He was born in Chikmagalur, Bengaluru.

When he was six days old doctor has diagnosed, had informed his parents that the child was suffering from Cerebral Palsy. In this disease, the coordination between mind and body is less.

In Siddharth case, CP affected his body movement and speech clarity. It was hard for his parents to believe in his suffering, but they always support Siddharth and motivated him in every situation.

Siddharth Jayakumar journey was very tough as he was always counted as disabling. Most children do not allow to join him.

He met many supportive and non-supportive people in life, but he knows that he has to do nothing with that he has to make a path for himself. This spirit makes him forward.

Siddharth Jayakumar has a different view of life, the things that no one can do anything for you inspite you are willing.

He firmly knows he has to make his bright career where society is nothing going to do. There is all kind of people, some mock you and some support you, but that will not affect him. 

Siddharth Jayakumar early time was hard. The doctor advised their parents to give him insight into how ignorant and nasty society could get.

The parents of Siddharth didn’t take acceptance to the words and gave him confidence that he can do anything that he wants to.

His studies started about eight years, he stayed at home and has no friends and schoolmates. After joining a specific society in Bengaluru, he learnt typing with one finger, and he enjoys learning Maths.

He was good in Maths and like solving sums and problems. Seeing his ability to do good in his studies, he has promoted from kindergarten to the second standard. 

He switched to Vidya Sagar school Chennai as his father got transferred. He continued his studies till eighth grade.

He was good at studies, maths was his favourite subject, because of his ability he joined Regular School.

Now he can study with normal students. This gave a turning point to his life. Teasing and stares are regular affairs for him, but he was glad to see that more students are learning about CP through him. He always takes things as a challenge and fights for them.

Siddharth Jayakumar Loves Maths a lot because it was his favourite subject, he does a lot of practice in Maths. He scored 98% in the 10th board exams.

Siddharth Jayakumar took commerce in 12th standard. He scored 90% marks. After getting good marks in 10th and 12th he gets more confidence. 

Inspite of getting good marks, it was hard to getting admission to any college. All are rejecting him because of his CP problem. He was sad that such a brilliant student didn’t get college admission.

When his parents and few dear-one told him that he was brilliant, he completed his masters and secured distinction.

He also takes a certificate from Documentary Credit Specialists. A course that enhances practical knowledge and understanding of the complex issue associated with documentary credit practice.

He goes through many up and down for jobs. Many companies and people are not accepting him because of his condition. They are now seeing Potential but judge by his appearance.

Finally, a bank saw his intelligence and potential in him. He got a job on merit. He works 15 years in a bank.

Late President Dr APJ Kalam (his love)

During an event in 2013, he gets an encounter with President APJ Abdul kalam. In a hundred people, President recognized him and walked over to greet him. He was such a down to earth personality I ever meet. Instead of his post, he comes to meet me. 

In 2015 Dr Abdul Kalam read the story of Siddharth in a web portal and got impressed by Siddharth fighting spirit. He invited him to Chennai airport for an informal meeting.

He was a very humble person and was friendly at the time of the meeting. He taught Siddharth that it doesn’t matter how the situation was or how much money you earned, but thing is to bring a change by being yourself. 

Dr Abdul Kalam encourages Siddharth Jayakumar to write a book and inspire others through his story. After that, he met 7-8 times to DR. Kalam on different occasions.  

Dr Kalam also inspired him to spread awareness about this CP and educate them that nothing is impossible in the world if we determined something in life.
