Sidharth Shukla was a mode, Indian actor, & host (12 December 1980 – 2 September 2021). He appeared in Hindi films & television.
He became famous for his role in Balika Vadhu, Broken But Beautiful 3 & Dil Se Dil Tak.
He declared winner in reality shows named Fear Factor:Khatron Ke Khiladi & Bigg Boss 13.
During his television career, he hosted crime serial Savdhaan India & a talent shoe India’s Got Talent.
In 2005, he won the world’s Best Model title by beating 40 contestants from across Asia, Latin America, and Europe.
In 2008, he made acting debut with a lead role in the show Babool Ka Aangann Chootey Na. He made his Bollywood debut from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya as a supporting actor.
Sidharth Shukla’s Early Life
Shukla was born in a Hindu family in Mumbai on 12th December 1980. His father Ashok Shukla was a civil engineer & was employed at the Reserve Bank of India.
He lost his father due to lung disorder during his modelling days. His mother Rita Shukla is a homemaker.
He has two elder sisters named Neetu Shukla & Rita Shukla. Allahabad Uttar Pradesh India is his hometown.
Education
He completed his school education from St. Xavier’s High School, Fort Mumbai. Sidharth Shukla obtained his bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design. During school time, he represented his school in football & tennis.
Shukla played against Italian football club’s under 19 team during their Mumbai visit as a part of Festa Italiana.
He worked in an interior designing firm for couple of years after completing his study. He was runners up in the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest in 2004.
Modelling Life
He appeared in Ila Arun’s musical video Resham Ka Rumal. He represented India at the World’s Best Model contest held in Turkey, and became the first Indian, as well as the first Asian, to win the title in 2004.
He got advertisements of Bajaj Avenger, Digjam & ICICI after winning the title. He made his acting debut in television, with the lead role in Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na on Sony TV in 2008.
In 2010, he appeared as Veer Vardhan Singh Jaane Pehchaane Se Ye Ajnabbi on Star One in 2009.
He also appeared in few episodes of Aahat & CID. In 2011, he played the role of Rahul Kashyap in Love U Zindgi on Star Plus.
He got a big breakthrough in television serial Balika Vadhu as District Collector in 2011.
For the character of Shiv in Balika Vadhu he received the “GR8! Performer of the Year (Male)” award at the Indian Television Academy (ITA) Awards.
He also participated in dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in n2013, but unfortunately, he was eliminated in the 11th week.
In 2014, he made his Bollywood debut from a romantic comedy film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
For that film, he earned the award for “Breakthrough Supporting Performance (Male)” in the 2015 Stardust Awards.
He hosted crime serial Savdhaan India & India’s Got Talent after exiting from Balika Vadhu. In India’s Got Talent Bharti Sing was her co-host. He won the stunt reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 in 2016.
Sidharth Shukla appeared in 2017 as Parth Bhanushali in Dil Se Dil Tak. In 2020, he participated in Bigg Boss 13 & declared winner in it.
After winning Big Boss 13, he appeared in two music videos named Bhula Dunga & Dil Ko Karaar Aaya.
In the next season of Bigg Boss, he entered as one of the toofani seniors in Bigg Boss 14 for the first two weeks.
During his visit to Big Boss 14, Ormax media rated him to be the most popular housemate of Bigg Boss 14.
Then he appeared in musical video “Shona Shona”. He made his debut with the third season of the romantic web series Broken But Beautiful in January 2021.
His performance got positive response from critics. He received the Gold Awards Most Fit Actor award in 2014.
That was included in Rediff’s television’s Top 10 Actors. Shukla was awarded the Wellness Icon of the Year award in 8th Geospa Asiaspa India Awards in 2015.
He also received the Synth GlobalSpa Fit and Fab Award in 2021. IN 2019 & 2020, he was 1st in The Times 20 Most Desirable Men on Television.
Hindustan Times declared him as Most Stylist TV Personality in 2017. Trendrr placed him at the 10th position in the exclusive list of Top 12 Indian Male Hotties of 2017.
He was 9th most searched personality on Google in 2019. He was declared The Times of India’s Charismatic TV personality in 2021.
