Start-up Conclave 2022 in Indore on May 13, 2022
Updated: 9 May, 2022: The Government of Madhya Pradesh is organizing Start-up Conclave 2022 in Indore on May 13, 2022 at Brilliant Convention Centre.
The event will provide a unique opportunity for start-ups to interact with leading industry experts and venture capitalists. It will also help them understand the nuances of starting and running a successful business.
The Government of Madhya Pradesh is launching its Startup Policy and Implementation Plan – 2022 with the objective of promoting startups and encouraging entrepreneurs in the state.
At the beginning of the one-day conclave day, the state’s Startup Policy and Implementation Plan – 2022 will be launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister will launch the state’s new start-up policy virtually and then address the participants of the Startup Conclave.
The conference will have an exclusive session on ‘Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment’. This will be followed by a panel discussion on the theme of ‘Start-up Ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh’. The event will conclude with a networking lunch.
The Start-up Conclave 2022 will provide a platform for Indian entrepreneurs, policy makers, innovators and investors to meet and discuss opportunities for collaboration and growth.
It will consist of three sessions – a regional session, a start-up expo and the launch of the Madhya Pradesh Startup Portal by the Hon’ble Prime Minister.
Leading entrepreneurs, startups, investors and policy makers from across the country are expected to attend the event.
Start-up Conclave 2022 will provide a platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services, and network with industry veterans.
A session on ecosystem support for start-ups will also be organized so that participants can learn about the support services provided by the Madhya Pradesh government to support the development of startups.
In addition, the start-up Conclave 2022 will host an expo of innovation by start-ups in Madhya Pradesh.
The Start-up Conclave 2022 will host Speed Mentoring Sessions where start-ups can meet and interact with industry leaders.
The Conclave will also conduct sessions on how to start a start-up with dedicated pitching sessions where entrepreneurs can convey their start-up ideas to investors.
There will be a fundraising session where start-up founders and budding entrepreneurs will learn about different ways to raise funds.
Madhya Pradesh’s new startup policy is quite different from the old policy. An important feature added to the MP Startup Policy 2022 is the concept of ‘MP Startup Center’.
Previously, only one policy was being implemented by the state administration, but the new policy will be implemented in collaboration with the MP Startup Center.
The startup center will have a dedicated office, with a head / mentor for each startup and experts in the relevant field who will help the startup community.
The introduction of a new start-up policy and the organization of Start-up Conclave 2022 in Indore are in line with the Madhya Pradesh administration’s objective of making the state a magnet for start-ups, encouraging the youth of the state to give wings to their aspirations and become job creators.
About 1,800 startups have been set up in Madhya Pradesh. Notably, about 40% of them have been established by women entrepreneurs.
At the Start-up Conclave 2022, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan will present a compilation of success stories of state start-ups.
