Sterlite Power Bags Orders worth Rs 3,800 from April to December
January 2023: Leading power transmission developer Sterlite Power on Monday said that in the first three quarters of this fiscal, its ‘Solutions’ business unit in the domestic and international markets posted Rs. 3,800 crores in multiple orders.
According to a company statement, orders received during the first three quarters of FY23 showed a growth of 90% compared to the same period of FY22.
“The new order win is for uprating existing power transmission lines of 132 kV, 220 kV and 400kV of Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) and state utilities like Meghalaya Power Transmission Corporation Limited (MePTCL), and West Bengal State Electricity. Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL),” the company said.
For Haryana Vidyut Prasaka Nigam Limited (HVPNL), the company will supply and install OPGW for fiberization of the state’s existing transmission network for 66 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV and 400 kV.
In the products business, the company has received orders for conductors and OPGW from major customers in India, America, SAARC and MEA region, according to its statement.
The order includes supplies for major green energy transmission projects both in India and abroad. The company has also bagged strategic orders for supply of additional high voltage (EHV) cables to state utilities such as Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasha Nigam Limited (RVPNL).
Sterlite Power also has its presence in turnkey EHV cable projects including substations at various utilities namely UPPTCL, OPTL and MPPTCL.
Commenting on the multi-crore order acquisition, Sterlite Power’s Director and CEO India Transmission Business Manish Aggarwal said, “With a rapidly growing population, growing demand and aging infrastructure putting pressure on power utilities, there is an urgent need for operations and improvements.”
