Student Achiever: ‘Hindi helps widen our personal growth’

Advik Jha-Akshita Niranjan

A duo from Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park are raising the bar of Hindi grammar expertise

By Anubha Singh: Their veneration for the Hindi language is undeniably evident in their phenomenal performance in the Hindi Olympiad. Meet Advik Jha and Akshita Niranjan of Classes IV and IX at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park.

Both these wonder kids express their experiences during the journey of the championship after winning a gold medal each.

Speaking about the experience at the Olympiad, Advik recalls, “It was a nice experience appearing in the Olympiad. The questions were a mix of easy and difficult. But as I studied well I enjoyed the test. I am very happy to receive many certificates and medals.”

Akshita found the competition both challenging and insightful. “It tested not just my knowledge but also my ability to think critically and apply concepts effectively. More than the achievement itself, I value the learning journey, which deepened my appreciation for the language.”

Both the children further demonstrated deep reverence for the support extended by their school.

“My school first of all made me aware of the opportunity of appearing in the Olympiads. They facilitated me by providing me with books on time.

They also supported me on the day of the paper by picking me up from my class and sitting for the exam. They never made me feel any pressure. All teachers have been quite supportive. Their teaching helped me achieve this success,” shared Advik.

“Apeejay has always fostered a culture of academic excellence and curiosity. My teachers provided constant support and valuable insights, and the school’s resources helped me strengthen my understanding. Their encouragement gave me the confidence to perform at my best,” added Akshita.

Just like nothing comes easy, Advik goes ahead and shares the challenges he faced during the event, “The biggest challenge was that some sections of the course were higher than my class.  I studied hard to understand that. My parents and sister helped me a lot with this.”

Similarly, for Akshita it wasn’t a mean feat too, “The biggest challenge was time management. Some sections required quick thinking, while others needed deeper analysis.

Striking the right balance between speed and accuracy was something I had to work on, and it ultimately helped improve my problem-solving skills.”

While Akshita aspires to keep exploring and expanding her knowledge across different fields, while having a deep interest in language and literature, Advik on the other hand, wishes to be the topper at the international level and make his school and family proud by learning more to increase his knowledge.
