Sudha Chandran was born on 27th September 1965. She is one of the famous celebrities in the industry. She is an Indian film and television actress, Bharatnatyam dancer.
She had a road accident near Tiruchirapalli in 1981, in that she hurt her leg. In that accident, her leg became gangrenous and because of that, her parents decided to amputate it. After that, also she became an established Bharatnatyam dancer.

Sudha Chandran is known for her roles of Yamini in Nagin 1,2, & 3, Ramola Shikand in Kahin Kissi Roz, Chitradevi in Devam Thanda Veedu (the Tamil remake of Saath Nibhana Saathiya) and Anand’s first wife in Hum Paanch (season 2).
She can fluently speak English, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada. She was one of the contestants in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She acted in Tamil film Mayuri in 1985.
Early and Family life:
Sudha Chandran was born and raised in Mumbai, but her family originates from Vayalur, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. Her father K. D. Chandran, is a former actor and worked at USIS. She completed her B. A. from Mithibai College, Mumbai and subsequently M. A. in Economics.

At the age of 16, in May 1981 she met with an accident in Tamil Nadu. Her legs were wounded in that accident. After initial medical treatment at a local hospital, she was admitted to Vijaya Hospital at Madras.
There doctors discovered that gangrene had formed on her right leg. And because of that the suggested that amputation was required.
That was the toughest period of Sudha’s life. After that she subsequently regained some mobility with the help of a prosthetic Jaipur foot.
After gap of two years, she returned to dancing and performed in India, UAE, Canada, UK, Saudi Arabia, United States, Qatar, Kuwait Oman, Yemen and Bahrain. Her biography is the part of curriculum for schoolchildren in the age group of 8-10.

Sudha met Ravi Dang, an associate director during the making of the film and it was love at first sight for her and later decided to get married.
However, her family opposed this union since he is a Punjabi and I am a Tamilian. They tried convincing them, they did not agree. After so much of convincing, the couple finally ran away and tied the knot.
In 1994, Sudha married assistant director Ravi Dang at the Chiranagar Murugan Temple in Chembur. Invertis University, Bareilly gave her an honorary doctorate.
Career:
She started her career with Telugu film Mayuri. That film was based on her own life. Same film was dubbed in Tamil and Malayalam. In Hindi it was renamed as Naache Maayuri.
In that film, also Sudha again played herself with Shekhar Suman, Dina Pathak and Aruna Irani. For her performance in Mayuri in 1986, she was awarded Special Jury Award at the National Film Awards.
Kaahin Kissi Roz and K Street Pali Hill were her notable shows on television. She was one of the contestants in dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2 in 2007. In 2015, she appears as Yamini in TV serial Naagin.
