Sumona Chakravarti is an Indian film & TV actress. Actually, she is popular for her role in TV serial Bade Achhe Lagte Hain along with a comedy serial Comedy Nights with Kapil & The Kapil Sharma Show.

Early life:

Sumona was born on 24th June 1988 in Lucknow, Utter Pradesh, India in a Hindu family. Her father’s name is Sujeet Chakravarti, he is a businessman.

Her other is a homemaker. Her brother Shivargha Chakravarti is a chef. She completed her school education from Loreto Convent School Lucknow.

At her age of 5 years, her family moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra. She did her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Jay Hind College, Mumbai.


Sumona began her acting career of TV from serial Kasam Se in 2007. At the age of 11 years, she made her film debut with the movie Mann with Aamir Khan & Manisha Koirala in 1999.

After a big silent, she got a big breakthrough in 2011 with the role of Natasha in the serial Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. It was produced by Balaji Telefilms.

During the following year, she participated in the comedy show Kahani Comedy Circus Ki on Sony TV with Kapil Sharma.

They both emerged as the winners of the show. It started the professional partnership of Sumona with Kapil Sharma.

It is still going on. During June 2013 to January 2018, she had seen as Manju Sharma in Comedy Nights with Kapil.

In that she played the role of Kapil’s wife. Again, she came back to the screen with the role of Sarla Gulati in 2016. She played the role of a girl deeply in love with the neighbor Kapil.

The show came back with the second season in 2018. Sumona was playing the role of Bhuri in that.
In between, she did two travel shows named Dubai Diaries & Swiss Made Adventures.
