Sushant Singh Rajput was an Indian actor. He started his acting career with television serials. His first serial was Kis Desh Main Hai Meraa Dil. After that, he acted in Zee TV’s popular soap opera Pavitra Rishta.
In 2013, he made his film debut in buddy drama Kai Po Che!, for which he received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Debut. Then he stared in romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance in 2013.
In 2015, he acted as the titular detective in action thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! He rolled in the sports biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story in 2016.
For his performance, he received his first nomination for Filmfare award for Best Actor. He performed as a main character in the commercially successful films Kedarnath in 2018 and Chhichhore in 2019.
NIT Aayog, the policy think tank of the Indian government, signed Rajput to promote Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP). This platform is for Indian women entrepreneurs.

Rajput was born on 21st January 1986 in Patna. His parents are Krishna Kumar Singh and Usha Singh. Her mother died in 2002.
Same year his family moved to Delhi from Patna. Mitu Singh, his sister is a state-level cricketer. He completed his school education from St. Karen’s high school, Patna and Kulachi Hansraj Model School New Delhi.
In 2003, he ranked 7th in DCE Entrance Exam and secured admission in the Bachelor of Engineering in Delhi College of Engineering. He was a National Olympiad winner in Physics.

He completed only three years of engineering study. After joining few months of dance classes, he was selected as a member of Davar’s standard dance troupe.
He was chosen to be a part of the group to perform as a background dancer in 51st Filmfare Awards in 2005. Again, in 2006, he wants to Australia to perform in the cultural program at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
By this time he was tired of engineering and happy with dance and drama classes. He dropped out engineering and devoted himself full-time to dance and act.

In June 2009, he started playing role of Manav Deshmukh in Pavitra Rishta. He received three major television awards for best male actor and most popular actor for that.
His performance was his breakthrough & it gave him a stepping stone in to films. In May 2010, he joined the reality dance show Zara Nachke Dikha 2. He wanted to prove his ability in dancing after acting.
He was a part of the Mast Kalandar Boys. He was doing both Zara Nachke Dikha 2 and Pavitra Rishta’s shooting together.
The team Mast Kalandar Boys dedicated a performance to his mother on mother’s day special episode, who had died in 2002.
In 2010 December, he participated in another reality show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 4, in that dance reality show he was paired with choreographer Shampa Sonthalia.
Rajput decided to quit Pavitra Rishta in 2011 because he wanted to pursue a filmmaking course abroad, he was replaced by Hiten Tejwani.
However, in October 2014, Hiten paved way for Rajput to appear in the final episode aired on 25th October 2014 as Manav.

In 2016, it was announced that Rajput would appear in two films: Chanda Mama Door Ke, a science-fiction space film and Takdum, a musical drama.
He was also ste to essay 12 real-life characters, including A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Chanakya and Rabindra Nath Tagore, in a biopic series of India.
Death:
At the age of 34, he was found dead hanging from the ceiling fan in his house in Bandra, Mumbai on 14th June 2020.
No suicide note was found. It was said that he was suffering from depression for about six months.
According to Mumbai police, medical reports and prescriptions were found in his room. An investigation is underway.
