Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University Rated as One of the Top Universities
Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, Dec 16, 2021: Institutions’ Innovation Council, an initiative of MHRD, Govt. of India, in its annual performance report, awarded 3.5/4 rating to Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University in the university category.
With IIC’s top rating, Swarrnim has emerged as a university that provides excellent education as well as a platform to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
Swarnim incorporates design thinking, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in its teaching philosophy, paving the way for its students to become young entrepreneurs.
This comes as a relief to the students who dream big, as it becomes easier for them in their choice and thought process for further education.
The annual performance report is based on a comprehensive assessment of various universities and their contribution towards creating an innovation ecosystem.

Innovation Council of Institutions
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India has set up ‘MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ to systematically promote the culture of innovation among all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
The primary objective of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students to work with new ideas and turn them into prototypes while they are in the informational years.
MIC envisions to encourage the creation of ‘Innovation Councils (IICs) of the Institute’ in selected HEIs.
A network of these IICs will be set up to promote innovation in the institute, to foster an innovation-fostering ecosystem across the campuses.
