An interview with Tanveer Singh, co-founder of Sova X, Asia’s first personalized probiotic solution
In this insightful interview, Tanveer Singh, co-founder of Sova X, Asia’s first personalized probiotic solution, shares his journey of innovation and entrepreneurship.
He discusses how Sova X is transforming gut health through tailored probiotic formulations, blending science and technology to meet individual needs. Gain a unique perspective on the future of wellness and personalized healthcare from a true industry pioneer.
Can you share the inspiration behind founding Sova X and its mission in gut health?
Tanveer Singh: The inspiration behind SovaX stems from a simple yet powerful idea: that true wellness begins with understanding your body at a deeper level.
At Sova Health, we realized that most approaches to digestive wellness were too generic, treating symptoms on the surface without addressing what’s really going on inside. But your gut microbiome is as unique as your fingerprint, and we believed your care should reflect that.
That’s where SovaX began. Launched as Asia’s first custom-made probiotic supplement, it’s powered by whole genome sequencing and built on insights from over 35,000 gut microbiome samples, which is the largest proprietary database in India.
Our goal was to shift the conversation from temporary fixes to long-term, evidence-based precision care.
By decoding the microbiome and understanding how it connects to metabolism, immunity, and even mental health, we’re able to offer solutions that are not just effective but truly life-changing.
Our mission with SovaX is to empower individuals to take control of their health with solutions that are made for their gut and rooted in real data, not guesswork.
How do you see the future of gut health solutions evolving in India and globally?
Tanveer Singh: The future of gut health solutions, both in India and globally, is incredibly exciting. We are at a pivotal moment where both consumer awareness and scientific advancements are converging to drive the next generation of health solutions.
Firstly, there’s a growing recognition of the critical role the gut plays in overall well-being. It’s no longer just about digestion; it’s about immunity, mental health, even skin health.
As people increasingly connect the dots between their gut microbiome and broader health outcomes, we are witnessing a shift toward a more preventive and holistic approach to health.
In India, with the rise of lifestyle-related health challenges, this is particularly relevant, and the demand for tailored, science-backed solutions is growing rapidly.
When we talk about the future, personalization will be key. We’re entering an era of precision wellness, where treatments are tailored to an individual’s unique microbiome and genetic makeup.
With advancements in genomics and artificial intelligence, we are moving away from one-size-fits-all solutions.
This is where the real opportunity lies, creating health interventions that empower individuals to take control of their health in a way that’s deeply relevant to their unique biological profile.
We are also at the cusp of a revolution in access. As digital health tools and platforms continue to evolve, we are creating ways for individuals to access gut health testing, personalized recommendations, and expert consultations.
This shift towards omnichannel solutions, where online access is complemented by physical touchpoints, whether through in-person consultations or dedicated experience centers; will be crucial in making these solutions more accessible and effective.
Finally, from a global perspective, we are witnessing a boom in the market for gut health solutions. It’s an exciting time to be in this space, with the potential to transform the way people view and manage their health worldwide.
Can you discuss any recent innovations or products that Sova has launched?
Tanveer Singh: At Sova Health, we’re always looking for ways to explore how we can push the boundaries of innovation in the gut health space, and I’m pleased to share some of our recent advancements.
We’ve recently launched two diagnostic tools: the Gut Microbiome Test (GMT) and the Food Intolerance Test (FIT).
These tools offer deep insights into a person’s gut health, analyzing everything from gut bacteria and short-chain fatty acids, neurotransmitters, to antibiotic resistance to key metabolic markers.
This data helps us understand digestive health at a deeper level, moving beyond just symptoms and into long-term solutions that address the root causes of gut-related issues.
What excites me most about these launches is that they provide a truly holistic approach to gut health, empowering individuals to take proactive steps based on science-backed evidence, offering personalized insights.
It’s part of our commitment to revolutionizing the way people approach their well-being, and we’re incredibly proud of the strides we’re making in this space.
What partnerships or collaborations have been crucial for Sova X’s success?
Tanveer Singh: Since the launch, we’ve built strong partnerships with doctors, nutritionists, and independent health practitioners across India who work with Sova Health.
In addition to this, our collaborations with esteemed medical professionals from institutions like AIIMS Delhi, Medanta, and Ganga Ram Hospital have been vital in validating the data-backed approach that Sova offers.
These partnerships ensure that our solutions are not only scientifically sound but also trusted by the healthcare community to enhance patient outcomes.
What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs in the health and wellness sector?
Tanveer Singh: To aspiring entrepreneurs in the health and wellness sector, my advice would be to approach this industry with a deep sense of purpose and commitment. First and foremost, always prioritize the well-being of your customers.
The health and wellness space is incredibly personal, what works for one individual might not work for another, so offering solutions that are personalized, scientifically backed, and holistic is key.
I would also urge entrepreneurs to stay ahead of the curve by embracing data and technology. The future of health and wellness lies in data-driven insights, whether it’s through personalized nutrition plans, wearable tech, or health analytics.
Another important aspect is building strong partnerships. Whether it’s with healthcare professionals, institutions, or like-minded organizations, fostering collaborations can significantly accelerate your growth.
In this sector, credibility is paramount, and having the support of trusted experts can elevate your brand.
Lastly, be patient and resilient. The health and wellness industry requires a long-term commitment. Building trust with consumers takes time, and staying adaptable to feedback and market shifts is essential.
Focus on continuous improvement, stay informed about emerging trends, and always keep the customer’s health at the forefront of your work.
Tanveer Singh’s visionary leadership at Sova X is setting new standards in personalized health solutions across Asia.
His commitment to innovation and consumer wellness highlights the growing importance of tailored approaches in healthcare.
This conversation offers inspiring insights for entrepreneurs and health enthusiasts eager to embrace the future of personalized nutrition.
