What inspired you to start Beyond Bound, and what does the name represent for you?

Tejasvi Madan: Beyond Bound emerged from a deeply personal journey. Having struggled with body dysmorphia, I spent years trying to fit into narrow definitions of beauty before learning to value strength over size.

Along the way, I realised that most activewear brands perpetuate unrealistic ideals, leaving many women feeling excluded or inadequate.

What frustrated me even more was the lack of fits that genuinely complemented Indian body types or adapted to everyday movement.

I wanted to change that, and the aim was to create activewear that feels as empowering as it looks, versatile enough to move seamlessly from workouts to workdays to weekends. The name Beyond Bound reflects a belief in transcending physical, emotional, and societal limitations.

Every design is rooted in the idea of freedom, confidence, and individuality. For me, it’s not just a brand; it’s a movement that challenges conventions and redefines strength, beauty, and comfort for every woman.

What differentiates Beyond Bound from other players in your industry?

Tejasvi Madan: Beyond Bound was created with one simple belief: that activewear should celebrate real women and real bodies.

Our designs are crafted to fit Indian women beautifully, embracing their natural curves and movements instead of conforming to unrealistic Western ideals.

Every piece is made to move effortlessly through a woman’s day, from the gym to a meeting to an evening out; proving that comfort and confidence can coexist.

We don’t promote perfection; we celebrate power. Our campaigns feature women who embody authenticity, women who defy stereotypes, embrace their individuality, and shine in their own light. There’s no size hierarchy here; we never charge more for larger sizes because confidence should never come with a price tag.

Beyond Bound was born from lived experience, from confronting body dysmorphia and learning to define beauty on my own terms.

That personal truth shapes everything we do. We’re more than an activewear label; we’re a growing community of women pushing boundaries together, redefining what strength, beauty, and inclusivity look like.

How does Beyond Bound empower individuals or communities to think and act without limits?

Tejasvi Madan: Beyond Bound was born to remind every woman that she is powerful, capable, and limitless in her own skin. Our philosophy, “Empower. Inspire. Achieve.”, captures that essence.

We empower through inclusivity, inspire through authenticity, and create space for women to chase their goals in their own way, free from judgment or comparison.

What challenges have you faced in scaling your operations or reaching new audiences?

Tejasvi Madan: One of our biggest challenges has been designing activewear that truly celebrates every body.

Creating silhouettes that flatter and support women of all sizes, while maintaining the same standard of comfort, functionality, and style, demanded extensive research, countless trials, and constant feedback from real women with diverse lifestyles.

Fit consistency across a wide size range is both an art and a science. Many manufacturing setups aren’t equipped to handle inclusive sizing with precision, so finding partners who understood and shared our commitment took time and persistence. Every stitch, seam, and stretch needed to reflect not just quality, but care.

Another challenge has been shifting perceptions, helping audiences understand that Beyond Bound isn’t just for the gym. It’s for every kind of movement ie. from your morning workouts to coffee runs to office hours.

As we’ve scaled, we’ve had to balance innovation, premium quality, and fair pricing, staying true to our promise of never compromising or charging more for larger sizes.

Our goal has always been simple yet powerful; to make every woman feel strong, supported, and stylish in her own skin.

Translating that emotional connection into every product we create, and scaling that feeling without losing authenticity, continues to be both our biggest challenge and our greatest motivation.

What role does innovation play in your organisation’s growth strategy?

Tejasvi Madan: For us at Beyond Bound, innovation isn’t just about creating something new; it’s about creating something meaningful. Every design begins with a question we never stop asking: how can this serve women better?

Our approach to innovation is deeply human. We focus on fit that celebrates real bodies and patterns that move with women, not against them. From morning workouts to evening plans, our pieces are designed to adapt effortlessly to every part of her day.

We’re constantly experimenting with performance fabrics that are soft yet strong, details that are functional yet flattering, and processes that are sustainable yet precise. Every seam, logo, and stitch is a reflection of care, research, and intent.

But what truly drives innovation at Beyond Bound is the women who wear us. Their stories, feedback, and experiences shape every collection.

We listen, learn, and evolve with them. Innovation, to us, is about rethinking how women feel in what they wear. It’s about turning comfort into confidence, and style into self-expression. That’s how we grow, by growing with the women we design for.

As an entrepreneur, how do you stay motivated through challenges and uncertainty?

Tejasvi Madan: For me, the motivation always comes back to why I started Beyond Bound: to create activewear that celebrates real women and real strength. That purpose keeps me anchored, especially when things get difficult. It reminds me of the women I’m building for and the change I want to see.

My journey through body dysmorphia taught me a lot about resilience and the importance of being kind to yourself. Those lessons help me stay steady through uncertainty and to focus on progress, not perfection, and to see every challenge as part of the process.

What keeps me going most is seeing women wear Beyond Bound with confidence. When someone tells me she finally feels comfortable in activewear or feels seen in our campaigns ; that’s the real reward. It’s proof that we’re creating something that matters.

At the end of the day, I’ve realised that challenges are inevitable, but when your vision is larger than the obstacle, you always find a way through.

What’s next for Beyond Bound in terms of growth or new initiatives?

Tejasvi Madan: The next chapter for Beyond Bound is about growth with purpose. We’re expanding our product range to include more versatile, everyday designs that seamlessly blend fashion, function, and confidence;  pieces that fit effortlessly into every woman’s lifestyle.

One of the milestones I’m most excited about is the launch of our first physical store. It’ll be a space where women can truly experience Beyond Bound and try, connect, and feel the energy of a community built on strength and self-belief.

We’re also exploring new frontiers in innovation, from tech-enabled sizing solutions to advanced performance fabrics that enhance comfort, inclusivity, and sustainability.

Every development stems from our constant drive to make activewear that feels as empowering as it looks.

Collaborations are another key focus. We’re joining hands with women-led and wellness-driven brands to amplify our impact and reach a wider community of women who inspire change every day.

We would want to evolve into a global movement that continues to empower, inspire, and achieve alongside the women who make it what it is.
