The Importance of Servo Controlled Stabilizer in our daily life & industry

Servo Controlled Stabilizer

An (SCVS) Servo Controlled Voltage Stabilizer is a type of regulator that is designed with a micro-controller that automatically maintains a constant level of voltage.

In a Servo Controlled Voltage Stabilizer, the servo motor controls the stabilization system to perform maximum voltage supply by using a Buck or Boost transformer that regulates voltage fluctuations from the input point and thus regulates the current to the right output.

An Alternating Current synchronous motor adjusts the voltage in a clockwise or an anticlockwise direction as well as manages the output level voltage with various components like the control card, comparator, dimmer, mocs, transistor and etc.

In various industries, a small fluctuation in voltage can make the connected device break down or malfunction. It has a huge number of implementations and usages in the industrial and the residential sector.

Thus the basic use of a Servo Controlled Voltage Stabilizer is to control as well as regulate the voltage fluctuation and thus provide a constant output of voltage with an accuracy of +/- 1%.

There are 7 main components in a Servo Controlled Stabilizer:-

  • Dimmer-Variable Transformer
  • Carbon Brush
  • Servomotor – Synchronizing Motors
  • Electronic Circuit
  • Buck Boost Transformer – Series Transformer
  • MCB (Miniature Circuit Breakers) and MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breaker)
  • Relay or Contractor

Dimmer-Variable Transformer-

The Dimmer in a Servo Controlled Stabilizer is usually is round in shape. For the base, Silicon CRGO toroidal core is used with copper wire with a specifically mentioned ratio as per the capacity or the volume it is to use for.

The main purpose of a dimmer is for increasing or decreasing the voltage level which is again fed to the buck-boost transformer.

Almost 50% of the total output voltage is either increased or decreased by the dimmer only. For an instance, if the input voltage level is 160V, at that time the dimmer with automatically increase it to 190V, and the rest of 30V would be increased by the Buck-Boost Transformer

Carbon Brush

The Carbon Brush is the moving part of a servo-controlled stabilizer. This brush is put in the shaft so that it can make contact with the dimmer.

At times when input voltage variation changes frequently, this carbon brush helps in erasing early, and thus the user is needed to replace it at frequent intervals. For this reason, it is very important that the quality carbon brush is of the best quality.

Servomotor – Synchronizing Motors

The name Servometer itself suggests it to be the vital part of the servo stabilizer. The Synchronizing Motors helps in rotating the arms that are connected to the dimmer in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions as per the input voltage.

Electronic Circuit-

The electronic circuit helps in sending signals to different parts of the servo-controlled voltage stabilizer such as the motors, dimer, and others. Therefore the electronic circuit works as per the signal and does its job in correcting the voltage level.

Buck Boost Transformer – Series Transformer-

The buck-boost transformer is of rectangle shape. A bobbin is fixed to the Silicon CRGO toroidal core.

At the time the stabilizer is being built, the stabilizer is dipped into the varnish tank for extra protection to it.

This insulating varnish is also known as transformer varnish. This transformer varnish is also used to protect all the windings that are used in the buck boost transformer in order to encapsulate all of them much before the stabilizers are ready for testing.

MCB (Miniature Circuit Breakers) and the MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breaker)

The MCB (Miniature Circuit Breakers) is used to switch on or switch off the servo stabilizer. It also gives protection from short circuits.

On the other hand, the MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breaker) is generally used for all types of overload protection.

Relay or Contractor-

The use of a Relay or Contractor is to cut the output of a servo stabilizer when it exceeds the prescribed limit of voltage.

The use of a Servo Controlled Stabilizer

A Servo Controlled Stabilizer is not only used for fixing the voltage system. It is also completely reliable energy equipment that has more advantages over the traditional based relay stabilizers. The various benefits of a Servo Controlled Stabilizer are as follows:

  • A Servo Controlled Stabilizer has high-voltage correction accuracy with an output of correction level of 1 voltage level
  • In a Servo Controlled Stabilizer, it has a switch-less functioning for adjusting the voltage fluctuation within the desired levels.
  • A Servo Controlled Stabilizer voltage is completely based on a step-less correction.
  • A Servo Controlled Stabilizer is the best stabilization used for hospitals and other medical units for operating machines like CT Scans, X-ray machines, radiation equipment, diagnostic equipment, and others.
  • A Servo Controlled Stabilizer is also the most desired stabilizer used in homes, offices, industries, schools and etc.

The two desired type of A Servo Controlled Stabilizer is the Air Cooled Servo Stabilizer and Oil Cooled Servo Stabilizer that fits the budget of an individual. Thus a Servo Controlled Stabilizer is the most desired one in the market for its unmatched benefits and longer life cycle.

In Conclusion

A Servo Controlled Stabilizer in recent times is the best replacement for all types of low and high-rating electrical appliances that are both used in residential and industrial places by providing an unmatched voltage supply in protecting the most fragile electrical equipment. It can be found in different devices in our daily life.

With the varied usages of the Servo Controlled Voltage Stabilizer it can be found in almost in every aspect of our daily life.

There are these printing machines such as printing equipments for Offset, Lithography, flexography etc. has extensive implementation of the Servo Controlled Stabilizer.

Not only that other equipments such as CNC machines, Different kinds of Medical equipments, equipments used in the textile industry and the packaging industry also make a great use of the Servo Controlled Stabilizer.
