Indore-Varanasi Tejas Express operated by IRCTC will start in the country soon
Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister said in budget 2020 that more Tejas like trains will be coming in the future. Last year, Indian Rail Catering and Tourism (IRCTC) started the first privatized train Tejas Express for Lucknow-Delhi route.
The second Tejas Express started last month on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route by the railway subsidiary and follows a dynamic fare scheme for both the trains. IRCTC provides special facilities to passengers traveling by Tejas Express such as if the train is late they get compensation of Rs 100 will be given according to the time. The train is being run 6 days a week for the passengers.
Railway Board Chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav said that In a major development, Indian Railways is all set to start to Indore, Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh (UP) Tejas Express and it will be operated by the IRCTC.
