Sangram Singh, an Apeejay alumnus and Territory Sales Operations Head with Hero Moto Corp says, ‘Hard work and dedication are two key qualities in one’s professional development’
By Arijit Roy: Sangram Singh is the Territory Sales Operations Head in Jaipur with Hero Moto Corp. He is an alumnus of Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka.
He pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing operations. In an exclusive interview, Singh mentions how his journey into marketing took place as his friends and teachers saw his talent through his communication skills. Edited excerpts:
What does a day at the office look like?
I handle the entire district of Alwar. I have to visit the two networks here as well as speak to the dealers on a regular basis.
In addition, I have to oversee their fund management. Overall, it’s always a very busy day for me involving a lot of travel as well.
What was the inspiration to join this field?
I come from a B Tech background having completed my Bachelor’s from Poornima College of Engineering.
During my B . Tech days, I was very busy with a lot of extra-curricular activities on campus. I had good communication skills and so, my friends and teachers would often suggest that I must explore the field of marketing.
Later, I joined ASM, and the journey into marketing continued. Also, I love travelling and interacting with people.
I got both of these aspects in marketing and this is also the reason I am enjoying my current job a lot.
Best memories from ASM days?
Those days were fantastic. I had joined during the lockdown. But ASM never made me feel the isolation or disconnect, which a lot of learners felt in the online classes.
I felt as if I was in an offline class, they motivated me so much. Our teachers and mentors build a connection with us.
Whenever we faced a problem, they were always available whenever we called them. Yes, they were just a call away. I would like to thank my mentor Preeti Suryavanshi ma’am. She encouraged me a lot.
One word of advice for the current student at ASM?
Hard work and dedication are the only two things that will certainly take you ahead in life. Never leave these qualities.
What are your future targets in life?
I want to be an entrepreneur and start my business in the automobile sector. I aspire to have my own moto parts manufacturing unit someday – that’s the target!
