Trupti Oak:  LS Digital prioritizes creating pathways for women to excel in leadership. We offer comprehensive Learning and Development courses through platforms like MindScroll LMS, covering topics such as digital transformation, competency building, and strategic management.

Our programs also include mentorship initiatives, career planning workshops, and opportunities for leadership development tailored specifically for women.

These initiatives ensure our female employees are well-equipped to lead in the ever-evolving digital business landscape. These policies are meticulously designed to address specific needs, enabling a supportive environment that empowers women to grow both personally and professionally.

Women’s participation in the tech and digital sectors has been a subject of growing focus. In your opinion, how has the role of women in digital business transformation evolved over the years, and what do you think are the key factors that are influencing their increasing involvement today?

Trupti Oak:  Women have transitioned from contributors to pivotal leaders in digital transformation. LS Digital maintains a gender ratio of 45% women in its workforce​.

There are a host of factors in women’s favour today, right from access to education and digital skills to supportive policies and initiatives that promote gender equality, such as mentorship and targeted training programs.

The business landscape has also evolved, recognising the evolving gender roles. There is a growing acceptance of women as leaders in technology and business. Younger generations tend to prioritize diversity and inclusion more than previous ones, which is reflected in corporate policies aimed at promoting gender equality

The visibility of successful women leaders continues to inspire aspiring professionals, helping to break down stereotypes and encouraging more women to pursue careers in technology and digital business transformation.

The digital and tech industries have traditionally been male dominated. As someone who has risen to a senior leadership role, what challenges did you face along the way, and how did you overcome them? How do you think the industry can better support women who aspire to leadership positions?

Trupti Oak:  Breaking into leadership roles in a male-dominated industry often comes with challenges like unconscious bias and limited networking opportunities. These challenges often stem from systemic biases, lack of representation, and insufficient support structures. 

At LS Digital, we actively address these challenges by offering structured leadership development programs, mentorship opportunities, and platforms for knowledge sharing. Creating a robust network of mentors and allies is crucial for navigating the business terrain. Continuous learning and skill enhancement are vital.

Trupti Oak:  The qualities and skills critical for women to succeed in leadership roles within the digital business transformation sector are, in essence, no different than those required by men.

Success in this dynamic field of digital transformation calls for a combination of strategic vision, adaptability, and an innovative mindset to navigate evolving digital landscapes.

Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams are pivotal, as is a keen focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
