UDAI, a New Delhi–based special school, founded by Tanu Rajput, supported by Rotary club of Delhi successfully hosted its Christmas Carnival on Thursday, 11th December 2025 at its Janak Puri centre.
To make the occasion truly memorable and to celebrate each child, the school welcomed their near and dear ones along with respected members of the media for a warm and meaningful gathering.
Organised in honour of World Disability Day, observed globally on December 3, the winter-themed event beautifully reflected UDAI’s belief that “Working Together Works.” The carnival created a joyful atmosphere where inclusion, community spirit, and shared experiences were celebrated wholeheartedly.
The celebration featured a range of interactive activities with children, emphasising empowerment and showcasing how every child grows and shines in their own unique way.
Adding to the festive charm, students also ran special stalls featuring handmade Christmas goodies made by them, which were available for sale—bringing an authentic carnival vibe to the day.
Reflecting on the event’s success, Founder Tanu Rajput shared her joy, “Celebrating this day with our children was truly heart-warming. Their happiness, enthusiasm, and incredible energy filled the entire space.
I feel grateful to have each one present and to share such a meaningful and festive moment with them. It makes me so proud of my kids, who are special but no less than anyone, they are talented, smart, and extremely kind and loving.”
The event stands as a testament to UDAI’s commitment to fostering togetherness, joy, and acceptance. Everyday, UDAI supports approximately 125 children on the autism spectrum disorder along with 90+ students from lower-income groups, ensuring that quality education and care remains accessible to all.
More than 5,000 families are already been taken care by the organization since 2009. We are trying to develop income resources for our students who are trained in skilled development.
