Varun Vashisthaa: My journey began in the realm of technology, where I cultivated my skills in software engineering. Over time, I delved into the intricacies of Biotechnology and pursued an MBA focused on Leadership and Strategy.

Along the way, I never ceased my pursuit of knowledge, obtaining certifications such as PMP to enhance my capabilities. My professional voyage led me through esteemed organizations like HSBC, where I fine-tuned my expertise in project management and technology.

Despite the challenges I faced with epilepsy since childhood, meditation illuminated my path to healing and unveiled the profound wisdom of Ayurveda. This revelation ignited my passion to integrate ancient principles with modern technology, paving the way for my entrepreneurial endeavor in healthcare transformation.

Please tell us a little about your entrepreneurial journey

Varun Vashisthaa: My entrepreneurial journey began with the creation of HairVeda, a brand focused on Ayurvedic hair care. Drawing upon my scientific background and personal dedication to quality, I crafted products rooted in nature’s goodness and free from harmful toxins.

Our commitment to authenticity and efficacy earned us recognition and trust, positioning HairVeda as a leader in the Ayurvedic hair care market within a few years of its launch.

My vision was not limited to this. I envisioned a healthcare sector in India that was more connected and accessible. That’s when DocOsage was born. It’s a platform designed to revolutionize healthcare, empowering both patients and providers by creating a seamless ecosystem.

Through these ventures, I strive to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives by integrating ancient wisdom with modern technology to transform healthcare for the better.

What service(s) or product(s) do you offer? What is unique about your label brand?

Varun Vashisthaa: At DocOsage, we’re dedicated to transforming healthcare in India through our pioneering lifelong health companion app. Our holistic approach to individual and family well-being sets us apart in a fragmented and inefficient healthcare system. With DocOsage, we provide a comprehensive solution, making quality care accessible to the 70% of the population who currently lack access.

HairVeda is another passion project, offering 100% natural hair care products crafted from unique Vedic formulations. Endorsed by renowned trichologists and certified by the Ministry of AYUSH, our products stand out for their quality and efficacy.

What sets HairVeda apart is our commitment to using traditional Ayurvedic wisdom to address hair and scalp issues effectively, without any side effects. We believe in curing the root cause of hair problems, making our products suitable for all genders and age groups.

What made you choose this type of business?

Varun Vashisthaa: I started Hairveda based on my personal experiences and struggle to find the right products for my hair-related issues. Since 2016, I’ve battled massive hair fall and tried numerous solutions to no avail. Eventually, I consulted with an Ayurvedic doctor friend and embarked on two years of constant research and extensive surveys.

This journey led me to discover that Ayurveda held the key to my excessive hair fall, dandruff, and patches, inspiring me to launch the brand HairVeda. Our approach blends ancient Ayurvedic principles with modern techniques.

Driven by a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the healthcare industry, I leveraged my understanding of science, technology, and the healing power of ancient traditions.

This commitment to innovation and social impact led me to join forces with Dr. Mayur Agarwal, Dr. Lipi Verma (PT), Dr. Shivali Agarwal, and others to establish DocOsage, aiming to contribute to India’s healthcare revolution.

What was your mission at the outset?

Varun Vashisthaa: At HairVeda, our mission from the outset has been to harness the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda to address individuals’ hair problems while nurturing health and beauty from within. We prioritize understanding and honoring customized needs, fostering a culture of holistic well-being.

Our commitment extends beyond product quality to environmental sustainability. Through eco-friendly packaging and partnerships with NGOs empowering underprivileged individuals, we aim to make a positive impact on both our customers and the planet.

Moreover, we aspire to educate society about the benefits of Ayurveda, envisioning a world where this ancient knowledge is widely embraced and appreciated.

At DocOsage, our mission is to revolutionize healthcare accessibility in India. We’re dedicated to providing comprehensive assistance by seamlessly connecting individuals with top-tier healthcare providers through innovative technology.

Our goal is to empower users to take control of their well-being by simplifying and enhancing the healthcare experience, from home delivery of medicines to streamlined diagnostics. We envision a future where healthcare is seamlessly integrated into people’s lives, transcending geographical boundaries and fostering collaboration among healthcare providers.

With features like our inbuilt healthcare assistant ‘Hekka’, we aim to set new standards in healthcare delivery and contribute to the upliftment of the nation’s health landscape.

What have been some of your challenges, and what have you learned from them?

Varun Vashisthaa: Acquiring new customers has been a continuous challenge for us at HairVeda. With our recent round of funding, our entire focus is on addressing this challenge and launching more hair care and skincare products. Another hurdle we face is educating the public about the importance of natural products and how to distinguish genuine Ayurvedic ones.

Despite these challenges, we’ve maintained high customer retention rates, especially through platforms like Amazon, thanks to our commitment to quality and affordability. Overcoming these early startup hurdles has taught us the value of determination and hard work.

As for DocOsage, our main challenge lies in the conception and acceptance of the idea itself. Convincing our team, doctors, and healthcare experts about the feasibility of such an app has been a struggle.

Many find it difficult to believe that such a platform can truly exist and be successful. However, we are confident that DocOsage will be revolutionary, as addressing what people find hard to believe often turns out to be the absolute necessity of the hour.
