New Delhi, 17th February 2025 – Venkateshwar International School, Sector 10, Dwarka, hosted a workshop on “Promoting Student Mental Health and Well-Being,” organized by CBSE on 12th February 2025.
The workshop aimed to provide school Principals, Counselors, and Wellness Teachers with strategies to identify and address mental health concerns among students.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Manisha Sharma, Principal, Venkateshwar International School, Sector 10, Dwarka, welcoming the esteemed guests and participants.
This was followed by a keynote address by Neeti Shankar Sharma, Deputy Secretary of Media and Public Relations, CBSE. In her address, Ms. Sharma explained the vital function of educational institutions in promoting mental well-being among students and the need for collective effort to develop a nurturing atmosphere.
The workshop featured prominent speakers such as Dr. Aparna Goyal, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at IHBAS in New Delhi, Dr. Shipra Singh, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at IHBAS, New Delhi and Dr. Shahzadi, an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at IHBAS, New Delhi.
They emphasized the need to prioritize the mental and emotional well-being of students in schools and delved into creating awareness and developing the necessary skills to address mental health issues in the educational environment.

As educators, it is our responsibility to provide students with immediate and compassionate support to help them tackle the distressing situation and assist them in all facets of their growth.

The event ended with a vote of thanks, showing appreciation to the CBSE for organizing the workshop and to the esteemed speakers for their insightful contributions.
