On Thursday, the actress Anushka Sharma and the cricketer Virat Kohli announced that they have made donations to three organizations towards relief work in both the states where devastating floods have wreaked havoc.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have pledged to support people affected by floods in Assam, Bihar by helping organisations that have been doing flood relief and welfare work.
Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma have donated an undisclosed amount to three non-government Organizations (NGO): Action Aid, Rapid Response, and Goonj.
These organizations are working for the welfare, relief, and rehabilitation work in Assam and Bihar where thousands of families have been affected by the recent floods.
They also urged people to reach out to help the people suffering because of the floods. More than 107 people have died due to Assam floods so far.
In an official statement, Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma said that while they continue to pray for the people, they have also pledged to help those in need by helping Action Aid, Rapid Response, and Goonj, a non-profit organizations which have been working towords welfate, rehabilitation, and flood relief work.
Virat and I have also pledged to help those in need by helping these three non-government organizations that have been doing noble and philanthropic work in flood relief and rehabilitation work.
Earlier this week, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas also donated for the cause of flood rehabilitation work in Assam and Bihar. Zomato Feeding India to encourage Priyanka Chopra fans to follow suit.
Much like Assam, many people have been displaced as their homes and Millions of people have been affected. They need all the help that I and Virat can provide.
