An exclusive interview with Yogitha Jahnavi, Founder & CEO of V-Rich, a mission-based dairy and natural foods company

In this exclusive interview, we speak with Yogitha Jahnavi, the visionary Founder and CEO of V-Rich, a pioneering company dedicated to providing high-quality dairy and natural foods.

With a mission to promote health and sustainability, Yogitha shares her insights on the challenges and triumphs of building a purpose-driven brand in the food industry.

What motivated you to start V-Rich, and how did your personal experiences shape the mission of the company?

Yogitha Jahnavi: The inspiration for V-Rich came from one of the most personal and pivotal moments in my life—my pregnancy. During that time, I became hyper-aware of the food I was consuming, particularly the quality of dairy products.

Despite living in a major metro city, I was shocked by how difficult it was to find clean, trustworthy options. What began as a personal quest for purity quickly turned into a deeper realization: if access to safe, unadulterated food was a challenge for someone like me, it must be even harder for others.

That’s how V-Rich was born. From day one, the mission was clear—to lead a health revolution by putting integrity back into our everyday nutrition.

At V-Rich, we believe food should do more than just fill you up—it should heal, nourish, and uplift. We aim to “enrich every meal,” not only through high-quality, natural ingredients but also through radical honesty and innovation.

How do you ensure the quality and sustainability of the dairy and natural foods you offer?

Yogitha Jahnavi: Quality and sustainability are non-negotiables at V-Rich, and we ensure them through complete end-to-end control of our value chain.

Unlike most brands that rely on third parties, we manage everything ourselves—right from cultivating feed for our animals to production and direct delivery.

For our dairy products, the process begins at our own farms, where we control what the animals are fed and how they are cared for.

This is followed by in-house processing and last-mile delivery through our own team, ensuring consistent temperature and hygiene at every step.

For natural products like honey and jaggery, our employees physically visit and handpick each batch from verified sources.

We also subject all products to rigorous testing—microbiological, chemical, nutritional, and sensory—to guarantee they meet our standards for purity, freshness, and safety.

What challenges did you face in the early stages of establishing V-Rich, and how did you overcome them?

Yogitha Jahnavi: The biggest challenge was earning consumer trust in a space clouded by scepticism and misleading claims. We were entering a market where people had grown tired of buzzwords like “natural” and “organic” that didn’t always live up to their promise.

So, we went back to basics—being honest, transparent, and consistent.

Building operational systems that upheld our values at scale was another hurdle. Managing our own logistics, testing, and quality checks demanded time, discipline, and the right people.

But by staying rooted in our mission and building a team that shared our vision, we gradually won over our customers—and their loyalty.

How do you approach sourcing ingredients, and what criteria do you use to select your suppliers?

Yogitha Jahnavi: Our sourcing philosophy is straightforward but deeply rigorous: we work only with partners who uphold our values.

We follow a single-source, farm-direct model, building close relationships with farmers and collectives who prioritize sustainability, soil health, and ethical practices.

Every supplier is vetted not just for quality, but for integrity. We seek those who value traceability, environmental stewardship, and community wellbeing—because our goal is not just to sell better products, but to help build a better food ecosystem. That integrity flows into every product we make.

Can you discuss the importance of transparency in your supply chain and how it impacts consumer trust?

Yogitha Jahnavi: Transparency isn’t just part of our process—it is our process. In today’s conscious consumer landscape, people want to know what they’re eating, where it came from, and how it was made. And they deserve to know.

That’s why we operate with full traceability—no middlemen, no grey areas. Our customers can trace every bottle of ghee, pouch of milk, or jar of honey directly to its source. We complement this with stringent testing and openly share our sourcing and production practices.

This openness builds confidence, not just in our brand, but in the very idea that food can be both convenient and clean.

What are your goals for V-Rich, and how do you envision the company evolving in the next few years?

Yogitha Jahnavi: Our long-term vision is to make V-Rich India’s first globally recognized clean-label consumer food brand.

We want V-Rich products to sit proudly on kitchen shelves across the world—from boutique wellness stores in New York to five-star hotel kitchens in Dubai.

This is not just about global expansion; it’s about rewriting the narrative of what Indian food brands can achieve.

While India is known for producing raw ingredients, there’s a visible gap when it comes to trusted, branded, value-added products from India on the global stage. We want to fill that gap.

With over 50 SKUs already, a growing R&D pipeline, and a strong team committed to innovation, we’re laying the foundation to become a global household name—one that stands for honesty, health, and excellence in every spoonful.

Yogitha Jahnavi’s commitment to ethical practices and community empowerment sets V-Rich apart in the competitive food market.

Her passion for natural foods and sustainable dairy production inspires others to rethink their choices, making a positive impact on both consumers and the environment. As V-Rich continues to grow, Yogitha’s vision remains a guiding force for the future.
