YREF Spreads its Wings Under Mentorship of Mr. Sanjay Rai Sherpuriya; Develops Four Strong Youth Entrepreneurship Verticals; Introduces EV Machine

Ghazipur, August 07, 2021: Rural entrepreneurship targeting the youth with local employment has started taking shape in Uttar Pradesh, where the YREF (Youth Rural Entrepreneur Foundation) under the mentorship of businessman-turned-social entrepreneur, Sanjay Rai Sherpuriya, has set-up a Centre of Excellence in Ghazipur.

In an appeal to the youth to make the best of training being offered at the Centre of Excellence, Mr. Sanjay Rai Sherpuriya said: “We are developing four verticals in youth entrepreneurship to demonstrate the excellence of modern farming, animal husbandry, skilling and Mera Rojgar under which street-vending will be organised.”

YREF’s youth entrepreneurship initiatives are not only about creating employment in the rural areas of the country, but also to align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s larger vision of local going global, where India makes for the world.

Mr. Sanjay Rai Sherpuriya said that starting from Ghazipur, YREF as a part of its main objective is developing various avenues of entrepreneurship for the youth in rural India.

Under the plan being executed as per Mr. Sanjay Rai Sherpuriya’s vision, YREF is working closely with APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority), an apex body set-up by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India to promote Varanasi Zone as a hub for exports of agricultural products.

YREF is also working alongside FPOs (Farmer Producer Organisations) to equip them and work in sync with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of including technology, access to market, aligning them with policy and funding to induce enterprise in farming.

Working towards the induction of new technologies at the farm and farm gate level YREF has tied up with IARI (Indian Agricultural Research Institute). These new technologies will be installed in Ghazipur, Varanasi and Chandauli through APEDA.

YREF is also introducing the first EV (Electric Vehicle) machine along with Omega Seki, with whom it has partnered in EV space for last mile connectivity and delivery.

“This project will go a long way in reducing the cost of transportation of vegetables substantially along with refrigeration,” Mr. Sanjay Rai Sherpuriya said.
