Zomato and Zypp Electric team up to introduce 100,000 e-scooters for final-mile delivery by 2024
April 26, 2023: Zypp Electric, a leading electric mobility solutions provider, has partnered with Zomato, one of India’s biggest food delivery platforms, to deploy 100,000 electric scooters for last-mile delivery across the country by 2024.
This strategic partnership aims to expand the use of electric vehicles in the delivery industry, thereby reducing carbon emissions and contributing towards a greener environment.
Under the partnership, Zypp Electric will supply and manage the entire fleet of e-scooters while Zomato will provide them to its delivery partners for last-mile deliveries.
The electric scooters are expected to be operational in over 20 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune.
Both companies believe that the adoption of electric vehicles will not only help in reducing the carbon footprint but also bring down the cost of last-mile delivery operations.
With the increasing demand for online food delivery services, this partnership will provide a sustainable and cost-effective solution to meet the growing needs of the industry.
Zypp Electric and Zomato have also pledged to work towards creating an ecosystem that promotes electric vehicle usage and contributes towards building a sustainable future.
This partnership is a significant step towards achieving India’s ambitious target of transitioning to 100% electric mobility by 2030.
